Create a business organization
Your household holds personal books for Money, Tasks, and Documents. A business organization is a separate company workspace with its own database, billing, and team access.
You can keep your household and add one or more business organizations on the same account.
Before you start
- Sign in with the account that owns your household.
- Have basic company details ready: legal name, entity type, and fiscal year settings.
- Plan who should be invited after setup. You can add teammates once the organization is ready.
Your household data stays in your personal books. Creating an organization does not move or copy household transactions into the new company.
Create the organization
From Settings
- Open your profile menu (avatar in the header) and choose Profile to open Settings.
- In the Settings sidebar, choose Organizations.
- Select New organization and complete the setup wizard:
- Type & identity — entity type, display name, legal name, and tax ID if you use one.
- Structure — legal structure (for example LLC or corporation), jurisdiction, and inception date.
- Accounting — functional currency, fiscal year start, and industry when applicable.
- Wait while Axiomatic provisions the organization. Setup usually takes one to two minutes. Keep the tab open until it finishes.
Household profile vs organizations
Household Profile and business Organizations are different surfaces:
- Admin → Profile (or Home → Admin → Profile with Household selected) — edit your household display name, currency, and contact details.
- Settings → Organizations — create and manage company workspaces on your account.
To add a company workspace, open Settings → Organizations and choose New organization.
After creation
- Switch to the new organization using the entity switcher in the top bar.
- Open Home to see modules available for that company (Ledger, CRM, Invoicing, and others).
- Invite colleagues from Admin → Team when you are ready to share access.
Each business organization has its own prepaid credit balance and billing settings under Admin → Billing.
